Your unique 14-digit connection identifier. Located in the top-left corner. This is the most important number — you need it to check your bill online, lodge complaints, and make payments.
05 1234 5678 9012Your name, address, connection type (Single/Three Phase), sanctioned load (in kW), and tariff category (residential/commercial). If any of these are wrong, visit your local MEPCO sub-division to update records.
The total electricity units used since your last meter reading. MEPCO reads meters monthly or bimonthly. The "Current Reading" minus "Previous Reading" = units consumed. If it shows "E" it means the reading was estimated, not actual.
Your bill shows multiple charge components:
There are two amounts shown: "Payable Within Due Date" — pay this to avoid late fees. "Payable After Due Date" — includes a 10% late payment surcharge. The due date is usually 15–21 days after the bill issue date.
